How To Remove Roller Blinds

Published August 18, 2023

Because of their sturdiness and simplicity of use, roller blinds are a common option for window treatments. There may come a time when you need to take down your roller blinds, whether you are remodeling, relocating, or just need to clean your windows. We’ll walk you on how to remove roller blinds in this article.

First, remove the Roller Blinds out of the Bracket.

Taking your roller blinds out of its bracket is the first step in the removal process. Depending on the model of your roller blinds, you might have to push or pull a button or clasp to free the roller blind from the bracket. Take very good care not to harm the roller blinds as you carefully remove it from the mount.

Step 2: Detach the End of the Roller Blinds

Once the roller blinds is removed from the bracket, you will need to detach the end of the roller blinds from the window frame. This can usually be done by gently pulling the end of the roller blinds away from the window frame until it detaches. Be sure to hold onto the blinds to prevent it from falling and causing damage.

Step 3: Remove the Bracket from the Wall

With the roller blinds detached from the window frame, you can now remove the bracket from the wall. Use a screwdriver or drill to remove the screws that hold the bracket in place. If your roller blinds is attached to the wall using adhesive strips, gently peel the strips off the wall.

Step 4: Patch Any Holes

Once the bracket is removed, you may notice small holes in the wall. Use spackling or putty to fill in any holes and allow it to dry completely. Once dry, sand the area smooth to ensure a seamless repair.

Step 5: Store Your Roller Blinds

Finally, store your roller blinds in a safe and dry location until you are ready to rehang it. Be sure to keep all of the necessary hardware and brackets together in a safe place so they are easily accessible when you need them.
