Connector App Tutorial: Adding a Timer to a Scene
The Connector+ App lets you automate not just individual blinds but also complete “scenes.” By adding a timer to a scene, you can schedule multiple blinds or awnings to move together at set times—perfect for daily routines, energy efficiency, and home security.
Step 1: Open the Connector+ App
Launch the app and log in to your account. Make sure your blinds and scenes are already set up.
Step 2: Select the Scene
From the home screen, tap on the Scene you want to automate. This opens the scene details page.
Step 3: Access Timer Settings
Look for the Timer or Schedule option within the scene settings. Tap to open the scheduling menu.
Step 4: Create a New Timer
-
Tap Add Timer or the “+” button.
-
Choose the desired action (e.g. run the scene to open blinds in the morning or close them in the evening).
-
Set the time you want the action to occur.
-
Select the days of the week you want the timer to repeat (e.g. weekdays only, weekends, or daily).
Step 5: Save the Timer
Tap Save or Done. The timer will now be linked to your scene and run automatically according to the schedule you’ve set.
Step 6: Manage Timers
At any time, you can edit or delete timers by returning to the scene’s timer menu. This allows you to adjust settings for seasonal changes or lifestyle needs.
Benefits of Adding Timers to Scenes
-
Convenience: Automates multiple blinds at once.
-
Energy efficiency: Optimises light and heat management.
-
Security: Creates the impression of occupancy when you’re away.
Summary
Adding a timer to a scene in the Connector+ App gives you advanced automation control. By scheduling groups of blinds together, you can streamline your routines, improve comfort, and increase energy efficiency.
